An important win for our NVL ladies this weekend

Our NVL ladies played another two games away proving that second leg of the season is slightly tougher. Last weekend they travelled to Richmond, currently second in the league. RAVC has started very well taking the first set 25-27. Second set has started well but Richmond “woke up” and started to play better. Third and fourth sets were really level upto second technical time-out playing long rallies, showing great defence and hitting from both sides but then young Richmond was slightly luckier towards the end of the sets (25-27, 25-16, 25-18, 25-19). MVP Anastasia Antipina.

Sunday ladies travelled to Essex. Our NVL team had a severely reduced team due to two illnesses and some travels so only had 6 players available. Luckily our libero, Anastasia has rearranged the original plans and was able to come as a 7th player. Our ladies played really well from the start to finish, dominating throughout the game showing some excellent team work and great hitting and defence securing a great 3-0 win (21-25, 13-25, 17-25). MVP Carly.
