About us

Reading Aces Volleyball Club (RAVC) is based in Reading, the heart of Berkshire. RAVC reformed in 2008 combining Thames Valley Tigers and Chiltern Volleyball Club.

We are a friendly social club that caters for all levels of volleyball from juniors and those who have never played through to intermediate standards.

With over 30 years of volleyball experience in the Berkshire region Reading Aces have one National League Ladies team in Division 2. On a regional level, we have mens, ladies and mixed teams competing in the Berkshire Volleyball Association (BVA) league. Our juniors and the development team play in the BVA Development league and other local friendly matches.

We train indoors during the months of September to May and move outside in the summer to play social tournaments and beach volleyball. When indoor season will be finished, we’ll be holding outdoor sessions at Prospect Park Reading on every Tuesday from 6:30 – 7pm. As it’s weather dependant, please check our Facebook page or website for latest announcements.

If playing on the grass is not your cup of tea, why not come along to our “Open” club night and find out how you can make new friends, get fit and play volleyball. Our “Open club” night takes place on Mondays at Kendrick School in Reading on Mondays starting from 8:30 pm and is open to all members (including Advanced Juniors). Our beginners Juniors and Beginners adults train just prior our “Open” night at 7:30 pm.

If you’d like to speak to one of our committee members please just email us and we’ll get back to you regarding any questions that you may have about the club. In the meantime, feel free to join our Facebook page.
