About us

Reading Aces Volleyball Club (RAVC) is based in Reading, the heart of Berkshire. RAVC reformed in 2008 combining Thames Valley Tigers and Chiltern Volleyball Club.

We are a friendly social club that caters for all levels of volleyball from juniors and those who have never played through to intermediate standards.

With over 30 years of volleyball experience in the Berkshire region Reading Aces have one National League Ladies team in Division 3. On a regional level, we have three mens teams (Men 1 freshly promoted to BVA Div 1), ladies and two mixed teams competing in the Berkshire Volleyball Association (BVA) league. Our two juniors teams play in the BVA Development league and other local friendly matches.

We train indoors during the months of September to  early May and move outside in the summer to play social tournaments and beach volleyball. Full training schedule could be found here.  If interested please email us telling about your level/experience so we allocate you to a certain team and arrange a free taster session. Please note that all sessions / teams are currently FULL apart from the intermediate ladies (training on Wednesdays).

When indoor season will be finished, we’ll be holding outdoor sessions at Prospect Park Reading on every Tuesday from 6:30 pm and every Thursday at 6:30 pm either at Prospect park or Kings Meadows park. Juniors are usually train along adults on Tuesdays and sometimes on Sundays from 4 pm. As it’s weather dependant, please check our Facebook page or website for latest announcements.

If you’d like to speak to one of our committee members please just email us and we’ll get back to you regarding any questions that you may have about the club. In the meantime, feel free to join our Facebook page or Instagram
